Dates for your Diary: Wed 23rd January –
Wed 6th Feb Part of LGBT
History month - At Lucy Cavendish College: Talk by Prof Susan Golombok whose work was
instrumental in changing the standard practice of awarding custody of
children away from their lesbian mothers. Her current
projects include a longitudinal study of surrogacy, donor insemination and
egg donation families; a comparison between donor insemination families where
parents have disclosed the donor conception to the child and families where
they have not; and a study of young adults who have been raised in lesbian
mother families from birth. She has been involved in policy issues as a
member of the government Surrogacy Review Committee and has advised the
Department of Health on issues regarding assisted reproduction and lesbian mother
families. Wed 27th Feb |
